MAINTENANCE
Capital Projects:
- Re-roofing lakeside of Dining Hall ($3,900 for materials)
- Elevator for Welcome Center ($55,000)
- Lumber and general building materials (contact Keith with questions)
Volunteer Projects:
- Install vinyl base where new carpet was installed in Shalom Center
• Patch sheetrock around new doors in Shalom
• Install siding around living room window of Farm house
• Rough in electrical work in lower level of Farm house
• Put metal roof on wood storage building at Farm
• Shingle south side of Quonset Shed at Farm
• Split and pickup firewood in Woods
• Get 3 yard lights working around the Welcome Center and Shalom (PRIORITY)
• Wash and prep ceilings in boy’s cabin Emmaus
• Paint Perimeter ceiling areas in Dinning Hall (scaffold work)
• Patch and paint ceiling and walls in men’s restroom dining hall
• Stain Exterior of Welcome Center
• Stain exterior cabins (7 left to do)
• Stain exterior of Dinning Hall• Paint bedroom ceilings in Shalom (9 rooms)
• Prime and Paint bedrooms in Covenant (3 rooms left)
• Chip brush along trails (adult needed, small group… have attachment for tractor) - Re-build Shalom Center retaining wall,
- Farm Center barn — exterior carpentry repairs, painting
- Shingling: skilled/semi-skilled (Chapel; Dining Hall: lake-side; Quonset shed: one side)
- Bulk mailings
- Painting – interior of cabins, Retreat Centers, exterior staining
- Power washing and sealing Dining Hall and Covenant Center decks, picnic tables, benches
A detailed maintenance plan currently exists that includes over $221,000 in estimated improvements and maintenance projects. New roofs, replacement windows, painting, fixtures, siding, furnace upgrades and much more.
